Vaalpark Primêre Skool se Grondslagfase-leerders , vier “READING ALOUD DAY, saam met Tippie. Hy leer die leerders hoe belangrik lees is vir skolastiese vordering. Ons skool gebruik Tippie se leesreekse in Huistaal, sowel as Addisionele taal. Hy het verlede jaar sy leesreekse aan die kinders kom bekendstel en is welbekend aan ons leerders en het al diep in hulle harte gekruip. Tippie en die leerders, het die kuiertjie met ‘n liedjie afgesluit . Hy het vir hulle die danspassies aangeleer.
Grades RR and R were surprised in their classes. Grades 1-3 and learners with special educational needs (LSEN) gathered in the hall to spend time with Tippie. The learners were very surprised and excited. They listened to him enthusiastically and were motivated to continue reading their Tippie books in the classroom. It was a delightful bonus for the learners to be able to be photographed with him."
